Queen Elizabeth announces the demise of her beloved husband, Prince Philip.
In a sad turn of events, Prince Phillip, husband of Queen Elizabeth II, has passed away at the age of 99. The Duke of Edinburgh was a former Navy Commander who has been by the queen’s side for decades and fulfilled his duties.
He retired from public duties at the age of 96 and was treated for his heart condition in February 2021.
The royals shared the news through a tweet with a picture of Prince Phillip in his uniform.
