The government banned PubG and 117 other Chinese apps, this triggered meme fest on social media:
After banning TikTok, the government has now banned PUBG mobile games and 117 others with it. The Information and Technology Ministry on Wednesday banned these applications. They also banned Baidu, Baidu Express Edition, Tencent Watchlist, FaceU, WeChat Reading, and Tencent Weiyun, besides PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite, terming them “prejudicial to the sovereignty, integrity, and defense of the nation”.
In July, the government had banned 47 other apps as well. The step was taken by the Indian government because of the tense face-off between India and China in eastern Ladakh that led to the death of 20 Indian Army personnel.
After the announcement of the ban, netizens took to social media to express their opinion on the news. As PUBG is a popular game among people, there were hilarious memes displaying the reactions of PUBG players.
