Dear Hollywood, if you have Christian Bale then we have Randeep Hooda in Bollywood. After Aamir Khan in Dangal, this is the most shocking transformation of the year till date, as Randeep sheds 18 Kg weight in 28 days.

Though method acting is catching up in Indian cinema but Randeep’s transformation looks pretty promising. He is playing Sarabjeet in Omung Kumar’s much talked about tell-all biopic ‘Sarabjeet’. It’s now been almost three years when an innocent civilian Sarabjeet was languished in Pakistan’s jail for not committing any crime. Her sister, Dalbir kaur fought for more than 20 years for his release but he passes away in jail itself on May 2, 2013. Her fight not only caught media’s attention, but also forced an eminent filmmaker to make a film on the life of a person who hardly lived. This biopic is directed by national award winner Omung Kumar who has also directed Mary Kom. He tweets:
@RandeepHooda salute to your dedication, lost 18kgs in 28 days, making a statement #Sarbjit pic.twitter.com/ZPQ6GBhms3

Cinema is truly the reflection of society and clearly leaves a lasting impact on minds. It has the power to influence the thinking of people and is social pace-setter. Now the trends are changing rapidly. We clearly do not want to see films like mastizaade and kya kool hain hum 3 but rather we like to see the cinema which is entertaining plus meaningful.
Omung Kumar’s Sarabjeet looks like a winner. The actor director duo’s insane vision for the film is actually thrilling. Now, we can’t wait to see Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s look now! Well the film is all set to knock theatres on May 20, 2016.
