After the makers unveiled Shahid Kapoor’s first look in Abhishek Chaubey’s upcoming film Udta Punjab, it has been revealed that Shahid’s ex-flame Kareena Kapoor Khan will portray the role of a doctor in the film. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share Kareena’s look in the film. The actress is clad in a simple salwar kameez, a white coat and a stethoscope in the first look poster. In the movie, Kareena’s character leaves her practice in a city to move to the interiors of Punjab to tackle the drug menace.
The movie is in news from long because after a gap of nine years, the Jab We Met actors Shahid and Kareena will be seen together on the silver screen.
Udta Punjab tells the story of substance abuse in the Indian state of Punjab. It has been co-produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures and Phantom. The film is set to hit the screens on June 17 this year.
