The most popular Comedy show , Comedy Nights with Kapil after a successful run of three years, is soon going to end. The last episode will air on January 17. The reason behind it is Comedy Nights Bachao, which is being promoted more aggressively by the channel. There are also reports that the show will be back on a new channel in an all new avatar. However the core members of the show — Kapil, Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar, Kiku Sharda and Navjot Singh Sidhu — will remain.
Kapil, who usually refrains from talking to the media, opens up on the issue. The actor, for whom the show is close to his heart, says, “Yes, it’s true. We told them we would go off air in December, but since they didn’t have a replacement ready , they requested us to continue till January 17
