Actor Sanjay Dutt has been granted 14 days of leave from Pune Jail to receive medical treatment for his leg. The actor reached home in the afternoon. Dutt earlier demanded a 30-day parole which got rejected but finally he got 14 days parole.
The actor had served 18 months in jail before being released on bail in 2007. The 53-year-old actor is currently serving a 42-month sentence for his role in the March 1993 Mumbai serial blasts. He had surrendered before a Special TADA Court in Mumbai in May and was later shifted to Pune to serve the remainder of his jail term. Sanju Baba was also supposed to perform in a play along with fellow inmates at Pune’s Balandharva auditorium but due to security reasons the fund raising event got cancelled.
