Every other day there is a new detail in Raj Kundra’s arrest case. There have been rumors that before his arrest, Shilpa and Raj got into a huge argument and Shilpa burst into tears, saying she was not aware of any such business. And now, The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has imposed a penalty of INR 3 lakh on Shilpa Shetty Kundra, her businessman husband Raj Kundra, and their company Viaan Industries for violation of its Insider Trading rules. Well, there is more to it, check out some shocking revelations in Raj Kundra’s pornography case:
- Raj Kundra was arrested on 19th July for the charges of making pornographic content and publishing it through mobile applications. Mumbai Police revealed that he sold his app to a family member in the UK but continued supplying content from his Viaan industries office.
- The official did not find any active role of Shilpa Shetty in the case. But she has not been given a clean chit yet.
- As per a report, Raj and his team earned INR 5 lakh per movie including HotShots. The cops have frozen INR 7.5 crore in Raj’s various bank accounts.
- Poonam Pandey also filed a criminal case against Raj Kundra. She alleged that despite no contract, they continued to share her pictures and videos on the app and even leaked her personal mobile number.
- Gehana Singh is out on bail in connection to the same app. It is being reported that she had shot at least eight pornographic videos for the app.
- The cops even access some electronic evidence that hinted that Raj Kundra believed live streaming of sexual acts is going to be the future.
- The crime branch recovered 70 videos shot by Raj Kundra’s former PA Umesh Kamat with the help of different production houses.
- A report claims that Raj Kundra offered a bribe of INR 25 Lakh to the crime branch to avoid getting arrested.
- The crime branch raided the couple’s house and even questioned Shilpa but she denied all the allegations made on her husband.
- As mentioned above, sources revealed that Shilpa broke down after an argument with her husband. She even shouted and said: “What was the need to do all this?
- The Crime Branch found a hidden cupboard in Raj Kundra’s office. It contained files related to financial transactions and cryptocurrency.
- Sherlyn Chopra reportedly appeared from the Mumbai Crime Branch’s Property Cell to record her statement in connection with the pornography case. She had also issued an FIR against Raj in April 2021 of sexual assault. She has alleged that the Raj once showed up “unannounced” at her place following an argument between them and tried to “kiss” her even though she “resisted”. Sherlyn also claimed that Kundra told her that his relationship with his wife, actress Shilpa Shetty was “complicated.”
- On Monday, the Bombay High Court adjourned the hearing on Kundra’s bail plea till Thursday. The court has also asked the investigating officer to remain present during the hearing in the pornography racket case.
- Kundra and his associate Ryan Thorpe have been sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
- The police said that Kundra earned over Rs 1.17 crore between August and December last year by uploading pornographic content online through Hotshots.
