In a latest interview, Sonakshi Sinha was asked about the Indian women’s cricket team not being promoted as compared to men’s. The actress expressed her disappointment on step-motherly treatment with women in blue.
Sonakshi Sinha showed her interest in the most adored biopic genre of Bollywood: sports. After films on boxing like Mary Kom and Saala Khadoos, Bhag Milkha Bhag and Chak de India, films on famous star players like Saina Nehwal, Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni is in making. During the showroom launch of a sports brand in New Delhi, Sona shared that she used to play sports like volleyball and tennis during school time.
Her childhood hobby now inspires her profession as she has expressed deep desire to get featured in a sports film. Talking about the condition of Women’s cricket team, the actress said that the women’s team is doing equally well as men’s these days. Yet nobody talks of them and absolute focus is on men’s team. It would be cool to work in such concept and she would love to be a part of it.
