Seems like the producers of Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai Dobara don’t want to get involved in any controversy, to avoid one they have changed Sonakshi Sinha’s screen name too.
But why is the director Milan Luthria playing safe with Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara? Well reports say Sonakshi essays the role of Yasmeen and plays Shoaib’s (Akshay Kumar) love interest in the movie. But the producers changed Sonakshi’s screen name to Jasmeen, and issued a press statement to stay safe.
The reason? The producers learnt that Yasmeen Joseph is yesteryear actress Mandakini’s real name and Sonakshi’s character is based loosely on her (though it is being denied by the director). But Mandakini’s real name to Sonakshi’s screen name seemed too much of a coincidence.
The makers have now change Sonakshi’s screen name from Yasmeen to Jasmeen and are busy re-dubbing those portions. Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai Dobara produced by Ekta Kapoor releases on August 15.
