People can feed stray dogs as HC rules in favour.
Delhi HC clears that people are allowed to feed the community and stray dogs and no one can cause hindrance. Resident Welfare Association or the Municipal Corporation is responsible for providing food and water if dog feeders are not around.
Strays should receive food and water as long as no one is being endangered.
The ruling came after Justice JR Midha issued certain guidelines to feed strays. According to that, the food can be given in a designated area that falls under the territory of dogs. To make sure the decision is implemented, Animal Welfare Committees or RWAs will take responsibility.
Dogs that are sick can be treated RWA and vets will be available. The police have been given the responsibility to make sure that no one causes any trouble.
