Femina Miss India World 2019 recently took place and Suman Rao from Rajasthan has been crowned the winner this year. The ceremony was a great affair which held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium. Shivaji Jadhav from Chhattisgarh became Femina Miss Grand India 2019 and Shreya Shanker from Bihar was crowned Miss India United Continent 2019.
Who is she?
Suman Rao is a 20-year-old model and the beautiful winner is all set to represent India at Miss India World 2019 in Thailand. During the competition, she also won the award for Miss Rampwalk.
She was born in Rajasthan and was brought up in Mumbai. She is currently doing a course in Chartered Accountancy.
The model has a passion for dance and is also learning Kathak, however, she considers modeling as her biggest passion.
In an interview, she said: “When you get yourself determined towards a particular goal in life, every single nerve and fiber of your body starts working into that direction for a victorious journey”.
During the event, she also expressed what she feels about gender inequality and the stereotypes that we face in the world. she said, “I come from a community where gender inequality and other stereotypes are still into existence, so when I saw two primary choices in front of me, to either accept the conditions those were in existence or to take the responsibility for changing the same, I chose the latter one
The event was judged by Bollywood choreographer Remo D’Souza alongside actress Huma Qureshi, Chitrangada Singh, fashion designer Falguni Shane Peacock and Indian footballer Sunil Chhetri among others.
Film stars like Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal and Mouni Roy performed at the event.
The ceremony was hosted by the Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Manish Paul.
