Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide shocks us all, people say high time India prioritizes mental health!
It seems like I don’t want to believe this news, all of us are in shock and this is so depressing. A few days ago, Sushant Singh Rajput mourned the death of his ex-manager Disha Salian. And now the Bollywood actor has committed suicide at his Bandra residence in Mumbai. He was found hanging in his room.
The actor made his debut with Kai Po Che, was 34. His domestic help told officials that he did not come out of the room until noon. His friends forcefully opened the door only to find him hanging. The case is being investigated and more details are awaited.
Well, we have lost another bright and shining star of Bollywood.

I remember, in lockdown only, it was the first time that I was watching Chichore, and I loved his performance. This news came as a shock for everyone. The movie gave the message of not committing suicide no matter what. And then this happened. We never know what a person is going through. It is said that Sushant was getting treatment for depression.
He was an engineer but had a keen interest in acting, so he came to Mumbai to follow his dream. He started with TV and created a loyal fanbase. Then he has his Bollywood debut.
He was an actor who ruled everyone’s heart with his natural performances. Sushant was only 22 when he debuted in the world of acting with the show Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. However, it was the serial Pavitra Rishta that rose him to fame.
He seamlessly shifted from the small screen to movies. After the huge success of Kai Po Che, Rajput continued to deliver memorable performances. He was the commitment-phobic millennial in Shuddh Desi Romance and the furious detective in Detective Byomkesh Bakshy.
He played the role of the nation’s favorite cricketer in the biopic M.S. Dhoni and a concerned father leaning on his college friends in Chhichhore. His performances were great.
Well, the reason for suicide is still not clear.
This last Instagram post was dedicated to his mother:
We never know what a person is going through mentally, so keep checking on your loved ones. If you know anyone who is suffering from depression, reach out to them and support them. The best thing we can do is hear them out and be with them.
