The makers of Thackeray released the film’s trailer on Wednesday. The movie features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Amrita Rao in the main lead and revolves around the life of Shiv Sena founder, Balasaheb Thackeray. The 2 minutes 55 seconds long trailer shows Nawazuddin and Amrita in power.
The film will be released on 23rd January 2019 but the first teaser was released almost a year ago. Though CBFC has raised objections over three scenes and two dialogues in the film but the fans are excitedly waiting for the release.

The film is directed by Abhijit Panse and has been written by Shiv Sena politician Sanjay Raut. Nawazuddin Siddiqui greatly eases the role of Bal Thackeray.
On the work front, Nawazuddin’s last film, Manto, directed by Nandita Das, had managed to impress the fans and audience alike.
