PV Sindhu makes the nation proud as she wins Bronze medal in Tokyo Olympics 2020:
Yesterday was a happy Sunday indeed, Indian Shuttler PV Sindhu defeated China’s He Bing Jiao to win her second consecutive Olympic medal. India celebrates the big win and social media is filled with congratulatory wishes for her. Some celebrities like Kamal Hasan, Mahesh Babu, Akshay Kumar, and others also praised her win.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also praised ace badminton player PV Sindhu. He tweeted, “We are all elated by the stellar performance by PV Sindhu. Congratulations to her on winning the Bronze at @Tokyo2020. She is India’s pride and one of our most outstanding Olympians.”

Sindhu came back into the bronze medal match after a heartbreaking defeat in the semifinal against Tai Tzu Ying but dominated her opponent from the start. While Bing Jiao tried to keep up, Sindhu eventually won with a comfortable 21-13, 21-15 scoreline.
Not only this, there was another win for India as well. India beat Great Britain 3-1 and entered semis of Olympics men’s hockey after 49 years
