Check out what people think about Will Smith playing the role of Genie:
Earlier in December, Will Smith told us that he will be playing Genie in Guy Ritchie’s upcoming live-action “Aladdin” which is an adaption from famous Disney series. Disney now finally revealed Smith’s CGI-infused blue genie in a special trailer that aired during the 2019 Grammy Awards. It shocked everyone on social media and people started giving their reactions.
The look of Smith’s Genie was widely mocked by film reporters and general audience with comparisons ranging from Smurfs to the invisible “Bird Box” monster that makes people kill themselves when they look at it.

In the short teaser, the Genie is revealed in the last, with Aladdin (Mena Massoud) rubbing the lamp and unleashing the figure, whom he apparently has no idea about. “You really don’t know who I am?” asks Genie. “Genie? Wishes? Lamp? None of that ringing a bell?”

Either this is a super clever marketing troll by Disney, and this isn’t what the genie will actually look like for Aladdin or… I dunno. Man, I just can’t believe this can possibly be the real thing.
I just can’t. pic.twitter.com/fxkP5weIvW

Ye didn’t have to show me the blue Will Smith. Ye didn’t. That’s a choice ye made and I won’t forgive it.
