Yesterday was a happy day for Indians, after the Hockey team’s win, wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya also managed to score a silver medal for him after defeating Kazakhstan’s Nurislam Sanayev in the men’s 57kg freestyle wrestling semifinal at the Tokyo Olympics. He will be appearing for the finals today and compete for the gold medal against Russia’s Zaur Uguev.
While the entire country is celebrating Ravi’s win, some pointed out that Kazakhstan’s Nurislam Sanayev bit the Indian wrestler during yesterday’s semi-final match. Some visuals show a deep tooth mark on the wrestler’s right bicep.
“It was painful when Ravi returned from the mat but he was given an ice-pack and he is fine. The pain has subsided. He is fit for the final, no problem at all,” said a member of the Indian wrestling team’s support staff.

Some people including Virender Sehwag and Randeep Hooda took to Twitter to slam the other wrestler and laud Ravi Dahiya for enduring such pain and still winning the match. Check out the reactions below:

Such players should be banned immediately. This is so unfair and in fact cheap ethics. Olympic committee should definitely look into this and take necessary action. We have already seen injustice in Mary Kom game. Not everything should be tolerated.
