Vidya Balan tied the knot with producer Sidharth Roy Kapur in 2012 and has been happily married since. In an interview, she revealed that keeping a marriage interesting takes some work and once you stop putting in the efforts, it starts to get mundane.

She also discussed since we do not grow up with our partners like other family members, we tend to take them for granted and that dulls the spark in a marriage.
She also discussed how the excitement may dull down eventually and marriage takes some work which she is happy to put in and keep things interesting with her partner.
“If you slip up there, it’s not as exciting, just becomes mundane. I love the work that is required to be put in to keep the marriage strong and exciting,” she said in an interview.
