World Cup’s yesterday match between Indian and Bangladesh was in news for many reasons, it was India’s march to semis, Rohit Sharma’s fourth World Cup ton, but also because of an 87-year-old fan who won many hearts with her passion towards the game.
She was seen blowing a trumpet during the game, she became a sensation quickly when the broadcaster found her in the stands to conduct a short interview. Charulatha Patel gave the Indian cricket team her blessings and shouted that India would win the World cup.
She told the media: “When Kapil paaji won the World Cup in 1983, I was there as well,”
