Candy Crush Saga started as a general office time pass game. But it has become more addictive than Tetris I played in childhood and I was very serious about Tetris in fact I used to dream of Tetris!
I innocently sent my friends requests as I needed tickets to proceed to the next level in Candy Crush Saga and boom! I created a monster. My friends, co-workers, hubby, cousins, siblings everyone is addicted! In fact we all discuss Candy Crush Saga when we all meet up, ‘how did you clear this level?’, ‘how did you zoom ahead?’ and the most common ‘life bhej naa yaar!’
I play Candy Crush diligently at night before sleeping no matter how late I hit the sack, at the movies, while watching TV and I must confess in the loo too! So if like me, you are hooked to Candy Crush Saga here are some tips to play this super addictive game:
Tip 1: Never buy power ups or extra moves. They do not help really!
Tip 2: Matching three candies is great, but aim to match four or more. Powers can help your game.
Tip 3: Study the striped candy before making a move. The one with vertical stripes clears all candy vertically and the horizontal striped one clears horizontally.
Tip 4: Resist the urge to use your power candies immediately. Mix power candies with one another to create better and bigger powers.
Tip 5: Study each level before aimlessly wasting your moves. After every move study the board and look for powers that can be made.
Tip 6: The game is not right always. Do not make the match the game automatically highlights, try and see if you can make a better match.
Tip 7: The Colour Bomb when combined with a single colour destructs all candy of that colour. Aim to destruct the candy which is spread all over the board. I have at times counted which candies are more. Also combining a Colour Bomb with a striped candy makes all other candies (of the particular colour) striped.
Tip 8: When you run out of lives, never buy one ask your friends to send you one. I have a network of friends who send me lives at 2 AM too (#proud!). If you don’t want to ask your friends wait as you will automatically gain a life every 30 minutes.
Tip 9: You get special powers like a lollipop and donut as you proceed. Do not use these powers as you will have to buy them if you need them later.
Tip 10: Keep the phone away if it’s getting too frustrating, remember it is a fun competition and a way to de-stress.
