A few days back a friend from Avani sent across a sample of Avani Dead Sea Natural Mineral Body Scrub (pear and apple), I even posted the picture of it on our facebook (See here). The scrub unlike like others has white salt crystals infused in natural oil which gives you a feel of a high end spa product. Though the oil ratio was higher in the product but by time I used it much of the oil had leaked from the container!

I used this product and here is my experience with it:
Claims: As mentioned before I got a sample which came in a small plastic container so no claims were mentioned on it but according to the website it is a combination of nutrient rich ingredients such as Dead Sea minerals, Jojoba Oil and vitamin E, this invigorating dual action Body Scrub has been formulated to gently exfoliate & moisturize the skin, leaving it silky smooth & totally refreshed.
Packaging: It comes in a jar packaging with a silver cap.
How to use: Apply to wet or dry skin, gently massage in a circular motion, then rinse thoroughly.
Price: It is priced at INR 2,299 for a 400 gram jar.
Pros: The good things about Avani Dead Sea Natural Mineral Body Scrub are:
- It leaves the skin very soft and shiny.
- A good scrub for all dry skin beauties as it doesn’t dry out the skin like few other harsh scrubs would.
- The ingredients are well mentioned on the pack.
- It doesn’t contain parabens.
- The fragrance is not very strong similar to that of a candy
Cons: Few things what I didn’t like about Avani Dead Sea Natural Mineral Body Scrub are
- It is very expensive.
- It is easily available online but not at stores.
- It is difficult to use as the crystals fall while scrubbing which leads to wastage of the product.
- Large quantity is used as the crystals get dry(a large amount of oil leaked from my container so this could be reason behind it being so dry).
- It leaves the skin very oily but gets better after some time.
Rating: I would give it 3/5 and would recommend it for to dry skin beauties.
