Elixir Shop’s Zaira & Linus oils are gold!
Skin care and organic skin care have always intrigued me. After trying out some great cleansing oils, I knew my skin was ready to try some oils. Now oils aren’t really those pore clogging things, they are in fact the right oils will get absorbed easily, deeply and have no chemicals.
So Elixir Shop looked like a candy store for my skin, only in a healthier way. While I wanted to try some specific problem or treatment oils, I decided to pick up the basic treatment ones. Zaira and Linus are their bestsellers and worth a pick up. I used these oils for some 45 plus days to make sure I review it perfectly!
Packaging: The oils are beautifully packaged in a glass bottle with a glass dropper to make sure you do not over use the oil.
Zaria gives you a beautiful glow
Claims: Zaria has essential oils that go deep into the skin and work towards creating an even skin tone. The serum gives your skin a healthy glow within the first few uses and over time reduces fine pigmentation and spots.
How to apply: On a clean face apply 4-5 drops, wait a minute while the serum absorbs, and then apply whichever cream or sun block you normally use. A 30ml bottle will last approximately 4-6 months.
Zaria price: 15 ml for 600 INR
How it fared: The oil has a bit of a sting and my eyes watered up on the first use. The next time I decreased the amount I used and well it absorbed pretty quickly. It does give that healthy glow, and it is still to work on pigmentation.
I would suggest buying this if you wish to add oil to your routine. However I would not recommend people with sensitive skin to pick this oil.
Linus is a hair oil that reduces hair fall
Claims: Linus uses a blend of essential oils that are known for their hair strengthening properties. You mix a few drops of the serum with your shampoo and massage it into the scalp, all the way down to the ends. In just a few washes, the oils will strengthen the hair from the root to the tip and reduce breakage and hair fall. The amount of the serum you use depends on the length of your hair. Use as follows:
Short hair: 4-6 drops
Medium length: 6-8 drops
Long hair: 10-12 drops
A 30ml bottle will last 4-5 months for medium length hair.
Linus price: 900 INR
How it fared: This oil is a bit complicated; you do not need to massage your head with it. Mixing it in the shampoo is difficult until you mix the two in a small container before using it. While it works well, I did see a drop in hair fall but it has not stopped yet. Though I think it will soon.
Both the oils are light, non sticky and great for application. However both are heavily fragranced.
