Lakme’s 9 to 5 has become quite popular and now when browns are back in vogue, I wanted to try one too. Now my problem was I wanted a brown, which was not to brown and it has to be matte. often people has been advertising quite a lot about its new lipstick range 9 to 5 which claims to stay for 8 hours. The ads cajoled me to buy it. I have used it thrice and here is my take on this new lipstick
Claims: No claims mentioned except that it works from nine to five.
Packaging: It comes encased in a cardboard box and the rose gold metal casing makes the lipstick look classy! The shade name and number is mentioned at the bottom with a sticker and the outer paper carton has other details about the brand.
Price: It is priced at INR 450 for 3.6 ml.
Feel and texture: The 9 to 5 Brownie Point lipstick is a great matte brown option and it feels moisturizing on my lips.
Pros: The product is worth a buy because:
The brown is perfect, it is a point above nude and not to stark brown which I am not comfortable wearing.
The matte is dry to look at but doesn’t dry my lips or tug them while applying.
It’s affordable and easily available.
It stays for about 5 hours doenst stand tall on the 9 to 5 claims.
The packing is very attractive and easy to carry.
The fragrance is very nice.
Cons: It doesn’t fulfill its nine to five claim.
Rating: It is a 4 for me. The lack of meeting the 9 to 5 claim.
