Just like we do makeup on the face with different products our nails too need some jazz to look pretty and beautiful. Bright to neon to pastels all kinds of colours are available in the market in all sizes and prices. I am sure everyone must have used some Lotus products especially their sunscreen. Initially Lotus only offered cream and lotions but now a whole range of makeup is available. Last week my friend wanted to buy some makeup so I accompanied her while she was busy checking out the products I came across this bright orange nail paint by Lotus. I tested the colour and it looked very pretty. I bought that nail colour named Orange Alert and used it after coming home. Here is what I feel about this nail paint.
Claims: No claims are mentioned on the pack except that its toluene( is a clear, water-insoluble liquid with the typical smell of paint thinners) and DBP(dibutyl phthalate) free. But according to website Colour DEW™ is a range of exciting nail enamels that are completely safe as they are Acetone, DBP and Toluene free. They dry so fast that you are spared from the trouble of repeatedly re-colouring your nails.
Price: It is priced at INR 110 for 8ml.
Packaging: It comes in a tall slender glass bottle with an elongated grey chrome finish top lid. It has flat & sturdy brush. The packing stands out among other nail paints.
Pros: I liked this nail paint because
- It dries quickly and the shade comes out very well after two coats and has an even finish.
- It easily stays for three to four days.
- It applies smoothly without being streaky.
- It is very reasonably priced and easily available in the market.
- It is toluene and DBP so it doesn’t cause any irritation.
- It is travel friendly.
- It has a glossy finish.
- Orange alert will suit on all skin tones.
Cons: I only thing I don’t like about this is that it starts chipping from the tips after two days.
Rating: I would give it 4/5 and would buy it in other shades. Tip: If the brush is horizontal, the colour might start dripping so be careful
