When I saw the Aloe Vera Gel Bleach I thought this was the best answer to my sensitive skin bleaching issues. Aloe Vera is supposed to be calming and since this bleach was a gel based one I thought it would not be too heavy. Aloe Vera has previously done wonders for my skin and I can buy any cosmetics with Aloe in them! Here’s how the OXY Life Aloe Vera Gel Bleach fared:
Claims: As per their website: The new Oxylife Aloe Vera Gel Bleach provides several benefits to your skin. Some of the key benefits of using this are: It is the first time bleach provides both fairness and softness, active oxygen gives fairness, Aloe Vera gives ultra soft skin and no added ammonia. It is also dermatologically tested and is safe to use.
How to use: Mix the powder activator with the gel. One pack should be enough for usage twice or thrice depending on how much area you cover. Traditionally once must always bleach face, neck, back and back of neck to get an even skin tone. Many of my friends also bleach their hands to prettify them!
Packaging: The OXY Life Aloe Vera Gel Bleach is packed in a green cardboard tin which contains the bleach gel, activator and a small leaflet of instructions. Like many brands OXY Life Aloe Vera Gel Bleach does not offer a measurer or a plate to make the bleach on.

Pros: The OXY Life Aloe Vera Gel Bleach hardly worked well on me but I made my sister in law try it too:
• On my sister in law’s skin it worked well, on the coarse hair too.
• Doesn’t reduce redness or acne marks.
• All it requires is some 10 odd minutes and you are done.
• OXY Life Aloe Vera Gel Bleach is green gel based bleach.
• The gel base ensures you don’t sweat and the bleach won’t start melting.
• The tin packaging is quite different.
• It helps remove tan slightly. But many other products remove tan better than this bleach.
• Widely available.
• You can carry it easily for vacations.
Cons: On my sensitive skin the OXY Life Aloe Vera Gel Bleach reacted in less than two minutes and my face started tingling horribly. I washed it immediately but my skin was covered on red spots. Had to apply ice pack and calamine to decrease the redness.
The OXY Life Aloe Vera Gel Bleach doesn’t have a measure for the activator which means you can put extra without even realising!
Rating: 2.5/5, If you have sensitive skin steer clear of this one.
PS: Always use bleach in the late evening and make sure your face is product free. But never wash your face prior to bleaching as the skin will become dry and absorb the chemicals.
Also it is best to avoid soap for 12 to 24 hours after bleaching your skin. Always use a sunscreen if you plan on stepping out post bleaching as your skin is sensitive and can burn!
