After desperately searching, calling the store for 3 odd months I resorted to buying the Rimmel London Soft Kohl Jet Black as that one has been unavailable for ages! I have tried many Kohl before but was eagerly wanting to try this. I have been using this product from last one week day and here’s my review of the Rimmel London Soft Kohl Jet Black:
Claims: Soft, smudgeable line. Fade resistant colour Pencil gives dense colour application, which can be blended into the lid for a softly smudged look. Very easy to apply formulation.
Packaging: This Kohl is a pencil one with a tight transparent cap. The outer body of the liner matches the kohl, making it easy to identify.
Price: INR 170 for 1.2gm
Pros for Rimmel London Soft Kohl in Jet Black:
- I like that packaging matches the shade makes it easy to identify.
- The texture of this kohl is very smooth and glides easily on your eyes.
- The colour is very pigmented.
- The colour is jet black unlike many kohls which are a watered down black colour.
- It does not smudge easily and doesn’t irritate my contact lenses.
- Super affordable, probably cheaper than many brands and still high on quality.
- The cap is tight enough for you to carry it in your bag without any mess.
Cons for Rimmel London Soft Kohl in Jet Black:
- Stays on the upper line for a few hours but starts smudging later.
- Smudges on my lower lash line, in fact it kind of disappears or lightens too!
- The pencil needs to be sharpened and I do not like sharpening as I feel this leads to loss of the product too. Also unlike the retractable Rimmel LondonWaterproof kohl it does not come with a sharpener.
- Ingredients list is missing.
- Availability as Rimmel is still available at select stores.
Rating: 2.5/5, it is passable kohl but will suggest you to try this once.
