On a trip to Ishana Spa I got a few products from their newly launched section. Since Ishana is a nature based spa their products are also natural or made of natural extracts. Now ayurvedic products have always caught my attention as they sometimes work better than cosmetic products plus are without parabens. Today we review their Kalpaveda gram flour & oatmeal soap:
Claims: Gram flour is known as one of the best natural skin whitening agents while oats is known to be one if natures most amazing exfoliates. Together they moisturise the skin leaving it soft and luxurious. This soap is natural and handmade with glycerin, gram flour, oatmeal and essential oil.
Packaging: The soap is packed in three layers, two of plastic and a beautiful packaging in dull gold and cream handmade paper which spells luxurious. The Kalpaveda Gram flour & Oatmeal soap is a translucent brown soap and one side is embedded with oats for scrubbing.
Price: Kalpaveda’s Gram flour & Oatmeal soap is priced at 240 INR.
Pros: Kalpaveda’s Gram flour & Oatmeal soap works well for this muggy weather.
· It is gentle on the skin.
· The oats side acts as an excellent exfoliator,
· It contains no chemicals hence it is a soft soap and melts on the skin,
· Leaves skin nourished, soft and clean. I skip moisturising on days I use this soap.
Cons: Availability. They are available at the Ishana Nature Spa in Saket or their Wellness Centre at T3, Delhi airport.
· We are ok with the fragrance but many people might not like it.
