The hunt for perfect red and fuchsia long-stay lipstick doesn’t end for many women. While I was on a shopping spree a shopkeeper convinced me to try Diana of London 2000 Kisses Lipstick in Fuchsia Pink 31, he promised I would be back for more! Till then I had only seen Diana of London eyeliners my mother used to apply when I was a kid. But the brand has reinvented itself the shopkeeper claimed. And I was so happy with the Diana of London 2000 Kisses Lipstick that after a week I went and picked the blood red one (Red Nature 06).
Claims: As the tagline claims, “long lasting & non-transfer; wear it & forget it.” An amazing lip product in a liquid form with iridescent, metallic effect, smooth on the lips, this uncommon texture doesn’t feel heavy, nor greasy, the finish stays longer for 24 hours allowing perception in every occasion.
Packaging: The lipstick is packaged like a gloss, in a rather cheap plastic tube.
Price: The lipstick was earlier priced at 525 INR but is now priced at 565 INR (some shopkeepers are selling old stock at old prices)
Pros: Diana of London 2000 Kisses Lipstick will stay till the time you do not use a heavy duty makeup remover but the right application is the trick to make it last long.
· Its liquid lipstick takes time to set but stays long. Mine usually lasts 5 to 6 hours without touch-up.
· Gives a beautiful matte look.
· Spreads well.
· Non transferable (This is very important when I wear dark lips)
· It is available at most makeup stores.
· Highly pigmented one swipe is more than enough!
· Diana of London 2000 Kisses Lipstick has a variety of shades (some 30 odd shades) you might like.
Cons: If you apply Diana of London 2000 Kisses Lipstick on chapped lips or above lipbalm it will slide off in no time.
· Dehydrates lips.
PS: Before applying I scrub my lips gently with Lush lip scrub. I apply my Diana of London 2000 Kisses Lipstick above a sheer coat of lip tint to insure dark colour. Also, I never apply it on days my lips are chapped.
Rating: 4.5/5 (for the lack of hydration)
