On a rainy monsoon day I went to Ishana Nature Spa for a spa treatment. I was late due to heavy rains and the subsequent traffic jams made me stressed. Ishana Nature Spa is nestled in a corner at MGF Metropolitian Mall, and as you step inside you feel transported to a comforting yet understated opulent place.
Ambience: As I entered I felt the tensions of the day ebb away. Soothing music, soft mood lighting, and tranquil environment made me feel calm before the treatment even begun. The interiors are done in a Thai inspired style with lots of wooden panels, intricate wall carvings, etc.
The treatment: I opted for the Sukham well-being massage which is a well-being, aromatherapy based massage. It is one of the most popular massages they cater. It is a sixty minute massage which is best for relaxing and rejuvenation. As I entered the designated room my therapist Stela made me comfortable and washed my feet in warm water infused with special oils and rose petals. Thus begun 60 minutes of sheer relaxation and getting ‘spa-ed’. The Sukham well-being massage releases stagnant energy flow in the body. The massage was a pressure based one and Stella asked me for the amount of pressure I felt comfortable in and massaged accordingly.
The therapists are well trained, discreet and attentive which helps you relax and connect with them immediately. The music deserves a special mention as it triggers happy memories, in those 60 minutes I relived my beach vacation, my Bali escapade and felt happy about life in general.
Post the massage, I took a delicious 5 minute steam which helped the oils absorb and a long shower. The shower is well stocked with body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and there is a blow-dryer too in case you want to dry your hair before heading back. After the long massage and relaxation I was treated to a plate of fruits and some green tea to cleanse the body.
Over-all experience: I felt refreshed and happy. In fact Ishana Nature Spa has taken care of minute details like a jewellery box for you to remove all accessories, makeup remover, and some face cream. I would recommend you to try the Ishana Nature Spa because of its comforting experience which I am yet to find in other spas. In fact it has a special couple massage room; I fully intend to check out with my best friend soon.
