Blessed (rather cursed!) with greasy locks shampooing daily is an issue I face and many shampoos are too rich for my hair which makes the scalp look oily and dirty. On a trip to the salon I picked up L’oreal Professionnel serie expert Pure Resource Citramine shampoo as advised by my stylist who said this shampoo works well on oily scalp but your hair can become rough so use a heavy duty conditioner.
Claims: Purifying shampoo for normal to oily hair. Can be used daily or as a weekly detox treatment. This deeply purifying shampoo has an aqua-crystal texture based on purified water. It helps to rid the hair and scalp of styling product build-up, hard water residue and any excess natural oils. Anti-oxidant Vitamin E prevents itchiness.
Packaging: The bottle is transparent and so is the shampoo.
Price: L’oreal Professionnel serie expert Pure Resource Citramine shampoo is priced at 500 INR for 250ml.
Pros: This shampoo works like a dream on an oily scalp.
- The shampoo helps me wash my hair on alternate days.
- My mane looks heavier as it strips off the excessive oils but it doesn’t make it dry.
- It is easily available at all L’Oreal counters.
- Travel friendly bottle.
Cons: The L’oreal Professionnel serie expert Pure Resource Citramine shampoo is great but I fear it will strip the scalp of oils so I have started oiling my scalp once a week.
- I always need to apply conditioner to the tips or else the hair looks like a dry jumbled mess (ala Shanaz Hussain style!).
- The shampoo doesn’t foam a lot, so I tend to use more quantity.
Rating: 4/5. I love the L’oreal Pure Resource shampoo but I am not sure if I can use this as a long term product without harming my scalp.
