Vellvette boxes are fun and surprising and the Hollywood glamour theme had me super excited. The August box was replaced by smart black bag with Vellvette emblazoned in golden on it. It looks glamorous and is useful too.
How it works: You get a Vellvette Box about the third week of a month after you place your order. I ordered for a three-month cash on delivery membership which is currently up for renewal. While ordering you are supposed to fill an extensive questionnaire about your skin type, love for makeup etc. This helps Vellvette customise the box especially for you.

Packing: The black box was replaced by a smart bag in black and golden. On opening, there was a personal letter detailing that this box was a quick fix box.
Products received: I received a Sally Hansen Lip Inflation Extreme, a Purely Pro Blush and H2O Face Oasis Neutralising Gel.
Sally Hansen Sally Hansen Lip Inflation Extreme: I got this in lip plumper in sheer cherry. It claims that the intense formula supersizes lips for hours. The lip gloss on application makes the lips tingle. The colour sheer cherry is a nice reddish pink with a slight shimmer. The colour while swatching looked great, but on lips it sheers out to a plain lip gloss. The lip gloss hardly works as my lips did not plump.
Purely Pro Blush in Universal: The blush claims to be a special light texture that glides on smoothly and evenly. While swatching this looked too white-ish pink shimmery blush to me. Something that I was not willing to try, but on application I was surprised it looks stunning. The colour gives my cheeks a sweet pink glow without looking over the top pink. Plus it is a natural ingredient formula and stays well for 6 hours.
H2O Face Oasis Neutralising Gel: The gel promises to neutralise oil on your face so it is great for oily skin people. For combination skin use it on the oily parts of your face. The only gripe I had with this product was it was miniscule in size and I have dry skin so I won’t be using it.
Pros: The box had two full sized products! It is a value for money box. There are discount coupons too in case you buy anything from Vellvette’s site. Vellvette is surely upping the ante with theme-d boxes and variety of products! Plus the bag is reusable and pretty too.
Cons: The only con was the H2O gel as it was not my skin type and the size is like a 2-3 time application only.
Price: INR 1200 for 3 months.
