Take a Glimpse of Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya’s beautiful traditional wedding ceremony with friends and family
Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya have officially married! The couple celebrated their union with a grand yet intimate traditional Telugu wedding at the iconic Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, founded by legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao.
The week-long celebrations culminated in a star-studded ceremony attended by South Indian film industry icons like Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, and Mahesh Babu, making it a memorable affair.
Sobhita’s Stunning Bridal Look
On her special day, Sobhita dazzled in a gold puttu cheera sari with real zari, a nod to her Telugu heritage. Her jewelry was equally breathtaking — a mix of traditional pieces like the basikam (forehead ornament), maathapatti, and necklaces featuring sun and moon motifs. She added more charm with bajubandhs, jhumkas, and even a bullaki (septum nose pin).
Her makeup was simple yet classy, with sharp eyeliner and nude tones that let her jewellery shine. A traditional braided hairstyle adorned with gold accessories and flowers completed her look, along with minimal mehndi designs and a chic red manicure.
Just days before, Sobhita turned heads in a bold red sari at her pelli kuthuru ceremony (a pre-wedding ritual), showing her love for handloom saris and timeless traditions.
Naga Chaitanya’s Elegant Groom Look
Naga Chaitanya complemented Sobhita beautifully in a madhuparkham, a traditional white pancha with a red border paired with a kurta. He also wore a ceremonial basikam, adding a touch of tradition to his simple yet dashing look.
His father, actor Nagarjuna Akkineni, expressed his joy on social media, saying, “Watching Sobhita and Chay begin this new chapter is such a special moment for me. With ANR garu’s blessings, this union feels truly guided by love.”
From the godhuma raayi pasupu danchatam (a turmeric and grains ceremony) to the main wedding, every part of the celebration honored Telugu customs. Sobhita’s love for her roots shone through, whether in her choice of handloom saris or the meaningful rituals she embraced.
By choosing traditional outfits over heavily embellished lehengas or gowns, Sobhita made a statement that being connected to your culture is always in style. Her graceful choices might just inspire other modern brides to follow suit.
