Bollywood is making its presence felt at Cannes 2013 with as many as eight celebrities who will be walking the red carpet. The fashionista in us is happy to see so many Indian stars glamming up in ethnic wear. But alas the journey has been sad and full of fashion disasters till now.
Vidya who made a promising enter yesterday at Cannes, picked her favourite designer Sabyasachi for the red carpet. But here the attempt to look different was no short of looking medieval and boring.
Dressed in a white and black anarkali, with her hair and makeup similar to yesterday (see here). In an attempt to look regal and desi Vidya wore a heavy kundan neck piece. But the duppata covered head was a sad and failed attempt at royality.
Here’s hoping for better red carpet style by Bollywood.
