2013 saw fashion move towards the nineties as leather and fur came back in vogue. But here are a few bad trends which came back in vogue! Right from sweat shirts, we mean baggy shapeless graphic ones and leggings which every Indian auntie has done to death! Here are a few styles we hope go away in 2012
Cropped tops: We are not born Miley Cyrus in terms of style or size and neither do any us of us have washboard abs. Many women we came across who tried this trend were petite or thin but their stomachs rolled and not in a good way! Woman hit the gym or hide these tops.
Harem pants: Can we kill Katrina for wearing these in Race and making them a fashion frenzy? Years on, this trend refuses to die. Hit any local or flea market and you will find truckloads of these. They look good only on harem dancers or hippies and if you are not one steer clear please.
Cheesy graphic sweatshirts: It started with slogan tee shirts and now it is the ‘in vogue’ sweatshirts this season. Graphics look good on kids so please act a bit ladylike and spare others the agony of staring at Minnie Mouse on your shapeless sweatshirt. And yea, on that topic sweatshirts are perfect for sleeping not dressing up for a party!
Peplum: Unless you are a size zero model that frilly peplum lading on your hips is bad news! Off and if you have a muffin top the peplum will frill out extra. We think, peplum is the most complicated trend and needs to end asap.
High-low hems: High low hems frame the knees in a weird way. They look like photo-frames to the knees and in case you have fat calves they highlight them and make you look broad. This is best suited to petite women.
Leggings: Leggings have sure become our pyjamas and many women love their legging-kurti combo. However, leggings need to be worn right and they aren’t very flattering on heavy thighs.
