Dressing up and slathering on makeup can be difficult especially in the scorching summer. But ace makeup artist Nidhi who owns Brush Strokes gives us a few quick ways to put light, pretty makeup and make summer friendly hairstyles.
How to do the perfect summer makeup?
For a simple everyday summer look keep your makeup on the light side. Never leave your house without sunscreen and tinted moisturizer as liquid foundation can look heavy.
- Pick makeup which contains SPF.
- Use a little bronzer to get a healthy glow. Apply where the sun naturally hits your face – your forehead, nose, cheeks and chin. Use a very thin, fan-shaped brush to get light, subtle coverage. If you use bronzer skip the blusher. If you aren’t the bronzer kinds a light apricot or peach blush is an ideal choice. Try mineral blushes, they are ideal for summer.
- Eyeliner often smudges easily in the heat and humidity. If you must line your eyes, use a powder eye shadow rather than pencil or liquid liner. With the tip of a very small slanted brush, apply dark shadow in a thin line to define your lash line. If you are going in the water, skip the liner or use a waterproof pencil instead.
- Skip the lipstick and choose a light lip gloss or tinted lip balm instead. Lip conditioners are a fantastic choice for summer, providing sun protection as well as sexy hint of color and gloss.
How do I look pretty and still make a hair style this summer?
Tying the knot: One of the hottest trend this summer is to tie your hair in a knot. This hair style can be done in day time and for a night out add some hair accessories.
Pony tails: To wear your hair in a ponytail think low and wide. After tying your hair in a pony tail just take a section of your hair from bottom of the tail and wrap it over the hairband and secure with a bobby pin.
Fisher’s side braid: Fish plat on the side is the perfect hairstyle when the weather is being uncooperative. No matter how messy the style gets, it still looks chic and stays on trend.
Spiral curling hair: If you have a long hair then u can get this look by curling the ends for the day time u can pin them up on one side and at night can leave them open.
For short hair you can get a chin-length bob it looks supremely flattering on a narrow or heart-shaped face.
