COVID-19 patients are reportedly suffering from brain fog after their recovery.
COVID-19 has caused major health issues in many people and even after being tested negative for the virus, the patients continue to have many health-related problems. Most people take at least 2-3 more months to completely recover from coronavirus.
Patients suffering from COVID-19 suffer from symptoms like chest pains, fatigue and now a recent study has shown they may suffer from brain fog as well.

This survey was conducted at Indiana University School of Medicine and is yet to be published. According to the survey, 50 percent of people out of 3900 were having troubling focusing after their recovery. a third of patients also complained of memory loss, confusion, and dizziness. These issues are collectively known as brain fog.
Brain fog can be short as well as long term and it can affect the ability of a person to complete everyday tasks after their recovery.
The reason behind this is still unknown and doctors said that one of the probable reasons could be PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) which may happen if the patient feels this virus may damage their brain.
the data from other outbreaks show that patients are at high risk of developing PTSD as the treatment can also instill fear in some people.
Enough data is yet to be collected and though the probable cause is under discussion, the exact reason for the brain fog is still unknown.
