Sweets if you are on a diet and crave ‘meetha’
We all get that craving to eat sweets, it is often more difficult to give in when you are dieting and watching your calories. A bite here and there does no harm but when you want that full slice of chocolate oozing brownie your internal struggle starts. So here are a few diet conscious dessert options that will not make you feel bad about indulging your sweet tooth.
Berries
Craving for sweets but want a healthier option? Check out the tangy, sour and sweet berries, They are rich in antioxidants, taste great and curb your need to have a dessert.
Oatmeal cookies
Cookies are not healthy but oatmeal ones are fibrous and if you make them at home taking out white sugar and adding a dose of honey, they are the best dessert ever. However, refrain from having more than one cookie at a time as they easily pack in a lot of calories (some 120 calories plus!)
Dark chocolate
Yes, what you’re reading is true! Dark chocolate packs more antioxidants and less sugar than any other chocolate and does not increase weight. But do not go for the whole slab of chocolate, moderation is the key. There are some beautiful dark chocolate flavours like sea salt, caramel, orange peel available at bouquet chocolate shops.
Frozen bananas
Bananas are sweeter in taste and once you freeze them they are a dessert in their own right! Do you know you can make vegan ice cream by simply adding a few chocolate chips and blitzing in the mixer! Well, banana is high in fiber and have potassium that helps to deal with the sodium present in the body.
Sweet popcorn
Grab a packet of popcorn and add a tiny bit of melted peanut butter and cocoa powder your sweet healthy, indulgent popcorn is ready! I often have these to satisfy my craving for sweets, you can try them too!
