Biotin is a supplement taken to improve skin, hair and nails growth but this supplement also has some side effects. Not all side effects can happen to you but you should be cautious as they might cause serious health issues. So check out the side effects before taking it
Acne
Too much biotin can cause acne especially on chin and jawline. Though it is not dangerous but can hamper the skin and the acne can be painful affecting your skin and making you suffer.
May even cause respiratory issues

Increased blood sugar levels
Biotin is said to cause increase in blood sugar levels and this is particularly important for diabetic patients. It causes slower release of insulin that can lead to higher blood pressure which may cause clots or stroke, so its intake needs to be looked after especially in people who have diabetes.

Taking biotin, many people feel upset stomach and face problems like nausea, cramping, and diarrhea.
Frequency of urination
It is said that higher dosage of it can cause increased urination need. Unusual amount of sweating can also happen.

Lowers medicine effectiveness
Biotin can lower the efficiency of anti-seizure medications and also reacts on cholesterol medicines making it less effective. It may increase serum glucose levels also by increasing fatty acids.
