With time most marriages get boring unless you work on keeping that ‘spark’ alive. It is true for most of us that work, office, friends, family all start coming on our list of priorities over our partner and this is when unfaithfulness usually creeps in. You love your partner and cannot even think of having an affair outside marriage, however, you may be unaware of other ways you are being unfaithful.
Here is how you could be cheating without knowing about it. If these actions continue, you may find yourself on the slope that leads to a sorrow you never wanted in your life.
Emotionally depending on friends
Most people slowly find friends as a better and sound emotional board for your feelings. This is common but when sharing your innermost insecurities, daily tid-bits is more about your friends than your partner it might become a threat. Your friendship is not to be blamed, the lack of communication with your partner is.
Tinder much?
Making a profile to find friends is not the best idea especially after marriage. Looking at some hotties as harmless stuff with friends is different but doing it is an addictive pastime is not. What’s worse? Conversing with your ‘find’ on that dating app.
Flirting with old friends
Talk to your old school flame often and it make your heart flutter that is dangerous territory for most married people. Your old flame can now be clarified a friend but if you still get those feelings around them and find an excuse to talk, your relationship with your partner need to be reviewed.
Comparing your partner
This is emotional cheating, your partner may have gained those few odd kilos or your hairline could have receded and comparing them to other people makes your relationship with your better half insecure at its best. Refrain from insulting while comparing, how about some positive compliments and helping them overcome those body issues instead?
Thinking about sex with someone else while doing the deed
The worse and final straw for any emotional cheating relationship is this. Fantasizing about your first love or a good looking boy in your neighbor while having sex with your partner calls for some major talking to each other.
We all fall ‘in’ and ‘out’ of love with our partners often but cheating emotionally shows all is not well in paradise. Do some effort and get your love back on track afterall marriages are made in heaven!
