Waiting for a pregnancy test to unveil a positive or negative result is nerve-racking 3 minutes for most women. But now, here comes a first ever digital pregnancy test that works with an app and aspires to make the procedure less scary.
First Response, At-home pregnancy test Company, announced on Wednesday at International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) the first Bluetooth enabled pregnancy test, which will tally with an app and compile all test results and dates in one place.
This kit is created as more women use pregnancy tracking apps to supervise their ovulation cycles and most fertile periods. According to an eMarketer study, 63% report a boost in smartphone use after getting pregnant.
The First Response Pregnancy Pro stick works along with the app, which helps to find out a woman’s most fertile days based on the information added by the user. The app also feeds necessary articles, tips and resources with some entertaining distractions like videos and other visuals while she waits for results.
The app can be used beyond determining the results. Once pregnant, the in-built tools pregnancy milestones, forecast due date, reminder about appointments, questions to ask the doctor along with updating about the infant’s development.
Like a traditional pregnancy test, the First Response Pregnancy Pro stick can only be used once. The app will be available as a free download for iOS and Android users.
