A few years back men were men no matter how girly and then suddenly came this sexuality called ‘gays’ while many men might prefer men. But many men do send mixed signals to us( women). We often get confused and set you in the good friend slot. Does it happen to you often that instead of attraction women think of you as a friend? Well here are a few reasons why we assume you are gay:
Reason 1: You abuse gays
Someone’s sexual preference should not irk you. If you keep on abusing and, making fun of gays we assume you might be trying to hide something. With us it is the reverse psychology that works. If you are sure about your sexual preference somebody else’s should not matter to you.
Reason 2: Too much style sense
We love a man who notices what we wear but comments like ‘I love the perfume you are wearing’ or ‘Pumps would look better with dress’ send alarm bells ringing. Also, we love seeing a well dressed man but please let the red pants fad be with Salman Khan and don’t try wearing one if youdo not want to be labelled gay!
Reason 3: You act too interested or don’t give a damn
We like to decipher how interested you are in girls by your antics. But we women are the best at reverse psychology. Yes, we want you but expect you to make the move but we also want you to respect our limits. Acting too interested makes you look like you are trying hard to act ‘masculine’. “One of my college friends would always speak in crude Haryanavi about girls, and would discuss how women loved him, stalked him et all. This did not match his personality, he was nerdy shy and cute. I always thought he was trying to protect himself,” says Yamini.
But if we want you to make a move and you don’t, be ready to be labelled ‘gay’!
Reason 4: You love gossip
One thing is true for all women: we love gossip. Women have a tendency to chat and gossip but when men do it we clearly do not enjoy it. Men who sit with women and gossip in a bitchy manner are often dubbed gay.
Reason 5: You Act ‘Gay’
Many men have female mannerisms or choice in clothes which makes us believe you are gay. And this is the reason why men should never sit with their legs crossed or gesticulate too much.
