Bollywood celebrities expressed their grief over Sushma Swaraj’s demise:
Yesterday was a sad day for India, as we lost veteran BJP leader and former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. She was 67 years old and suffered a massive heart attack, she was admitted to AIIMS on Tuesday evening.
The reports state that she was rushed to the hospital at 10:15 p.m. And at around 7 pm, the late parliamentarian tweeted congratulating message to PM Narendra Modi for revoking the special status for Jammu and Kashmir. She tweeted, “Thank you Prime Minister. Thank you very much. I was waiting to see this day in my lifetime”.
Condolences are pouring in from all corners of the world following her death and members of the film industry too expressed grief over her demise. Soon after the news of Swaraj’s death broke the internet was filled with condolences messages.
Several Bollywood celebrities including Sunny Deol, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Parineeti Chopra, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Ekta Kapoor, and Madhur Bhandarkar stated grief.
