Veteran actor Nana Patekar will be the guest of honour.

Biggest Theatre festival of Asia

National School of Drama director Waman Kendre said “Out of 469 enteries, we have selected plays keeping in mind the disparities in style with major focus on quality.

Kendre’s one of the most favorite projects, ‘Living Legend Series’ will be interesting this time as well with participation of eminent personalities like Nana Patekar, Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Kapila Vatsayayan, Sonal Mansingh, Jabbar Patel and Indira.

Apart from performances, I bet you’ll never see any place as creative and colorful as NSD premises during BRM. Famous art director of Bollywood Jayant Deshmukh is the man behind this. After designing sets of famous films like Aarakshan, Raajneeti, Tere Naam, Maqbool etc. he says that his roots are theatre and thus working for his first love soothes his soul.

Salute the stars

Big stars of Indian cinema like Anupam Kher, Paresh Rawal, Om Puri, Ratna Shah Pathak, Neena Gupta etc. are coming to make this festival even more glorious. You really can’t afford to miss them live.

Shop for kids

Any festival is incomplete without shopping. Yes, this time they started a new theatre bazaar concept. Here you can pick objects related to stage whether it is make-up, costumes or puppets.

Eat Street

The food park in NSD premises attracts people more than auditoriums. Under the sprinkle of colors you’ll find stalls with delicacies from across India. The wazwan and other brands will be priced reasonably as compared to other outlets in the city.

Entry Rules

The festival is almost a month long, going to held together in 7 auditoriums. Some plays are free of cost and some are ticketed, of which price ranges from INR 50 to INR 500. Tickets will be available online from January 30, 2016. If you’re lucky then you can get spot tickets also.
