The gross, the ugly, the scary is all a part of makeup and we went on a special session with Jordan Plath at Kryolan to see how makeup is an art like no other.
Kryolan the world renowned manufacturer of specialised Professional Makeup organised a seminar on “Special Effects” by Jordan Plath at Kryolan City Lajpat Nagar.
Jordan Plath is an extraordinary makeup artist and has worked with Tron: Legacy(Film), Deadliest Warrior (TV Series), The Fly- Opera (Theater), Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios, Hollywood, etc. India inspires Jordan and he told us how our goddesses and deities fascinate him.
The master class we attended was the zombie making and it was a tedious slow process but completely amazing to see such a transformation as Plath introduced us to HD makeup for altering the face.
The seminar is a part of a series of 3 seminars scheduled at Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi. Jordan Plath is a renowned Special Effects Make-up Artist and also the Education Coordinator at KRYOLAN, San Francisco, USA. While Jordan showcased techniques to do makeup on open wounds, 2nd degree burns, Healed Burn Scarring and a Zombie with open wounds with makeup we were amazed! Many makeup artist and enthusiasts also attended the event and learnt these techniques.
