While many of us are still planning to have an unforgettable holiday with our girls and these 3 made a world tour in between. This was not a common world tour we hear of everyday. Read how they actually made it possible. Here is the complete fact list of their journey:
·Their names are Rashmi Koppar, Dr Soumya Goyal and Nidhi Tiwari.
·They drove 21,477km, 17 countries, 97 days and a trip of their lifetime and gave wing to their 15 year old childhood dream.
·All of three are working mothers in their mid 30s. Rashmi Koppar is a hotel management professor, educator and an adventure sports enthusiast, Dr. Soumya Goyal is a physical therapist and Nidhi Tiwari specializes in off-the-road jeeping, outdoor education, high altitude and long distance driving.
·Nidhi was the only driver, she has a lot of outdoor jeeping experience for which her both friends seconded her for this trip.
·They drove 600 Km a day.
·They crossed these countries: India, Myanmar, China, Uzbe kistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Finland, Russia, Germany Czech Republic and the United Kingdom.
.Their jeep became the first Indian vehicle to reach the arctic circle.
·They used sign language and Google translator in every country except India and UK as there English came to rescue.
·They purchased local SIM cards in every country they entered to cope with communication gap.
·They avoided driving late night and spent evenings exploring the cities.
·They didn’t found a single woman driver on highways till they reached Europe.
·They crossed every hurdle in their way like a pro whether it is non-tarred roads, rocky terrains, forests, streams and everything else.
·It took 5 days to cross a distance of 200 Km from Imphal to Myanmar due to landslide.
·In Manipur, they were stuck there due to landslide, lived with locals and tasted home-made food.
·The trip was sponsored by the ministry of external affairs, India, youth affairs and sports, Mahindra First Choice Wheels, Via.com, Lenovo India, @Round Table India Area 6, Social Empowerment by Empowering Women SEEW, MS Ramaiah Memorial Hospital and Tea Trails India.
