Women have started driving autos in Patna and their services will be available to families and women passengers on a reserved basis from the prepaid counter. The fare for this prepaid auto rickshaw service will be Rs 18 for the first two kilometres and Rs 9 per km thereafter, and the service will be available from 6am to 6pm.
None of the female driver has professional driving licences so far so they forced to ply with private driving licences. As a result they will face difficulty in claiming insurance benefits in case of any mishap.
