The name of Prince William and Kate’s son has been announced by Kensington Palace. The baby, who is third-in-line to the throne has been named George Alexander Louis, His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge. The name was a favorite of British bookmakers and there have been six kings with the name of George.
The announcement was a quick one as Princess Diana and Prince Charles took a week before settling on William’s four names. The couple is also said to have broken the tradition of a formal nanny (or many nannies) and are planning to be hands on parents.
Queen Elizabeth II also made a short trip from Buckingham Palace to spend time with the baby.
