Did the brinjal emoji actually inspire Durex?
Earlier this week, the world was left in surprise, when the leading condom production, Durex, launched the new Brinjal (eggplant) flavored condoms. They tweet after the launch of the product had everyone raise their eyebrows.
What took the world aback is the fact that we have seen a lot of different flavored condoms from chocolate to strawberry, but never had we thought the company will launch such a flavor. So a while back Durex had a campaign where they promoted safe sex, so they used the Brinjal emoji. No one in their wildest dreams had ever thought that they would actually launch it as their new flavor.
Ever since this all social media platforms have been going crazy with memes and posts of it. Everyone is wondering what will be next? A cucumber flavor? We all just have one question, why this flavor? Let’s have a look at how people reacted to the Brinjal flavored condom:
@durex Can’t wait for the food bloggers’ reviews.

It’s only ironic to introduce this flavour because eventually what Durex is meant to do is to avoid planting the egg.

Durex got the attention it wanted after this launch. They wanted the message of having safe sex to impact the world. And this is what they got. All people are doing is talking about the Brinjal condom.
Other eatables such as bananas, tomatoes, etc have been used to signify sexual insinuations. But recently the Brinjal has become popular for this reason. Hence, durex decided on this flavor.
Well we hope that people do understand and imply the message of having safe sex. Well hats off to Durex for coming up with such an out of the box flavor. Meanwhile we enjoy some baigan ki subji!
