Bored of the greeting card and rose on Teacher’s Day? Want to present your school teacher a nice gift this teachers Day, try these DIY:
Teachers Day is celebrated in all schools and varsities with aplomb. In India, it is celebrated on September 5th since 1962 in honour of Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, a noted philosopher and educator. He believed that teachers should be the best minds in any country.
In many schools there are daylong celebrations with skits, dances and plays to entertain the teachers. Students give gifts to their teachers both to respect and impress them. But note many teachers do not accept expensive gifts from students.
Here is an interesting and easy on pocket Teacher’s day idea:
• In your classroom join sheets of florescent paper and imprint your hands on the sheet using some craft colours and water. Let it be in a haphazard manner. Let the chart dry. Now write your messages individually or a single message and sign on your hand impression. Gift this to your teacher.
• If you have graduated and want to surprise your teacher: Tell one of your tech-savvy friends to compile an old school photo (with that teacher or compile passport photos from that time) and write a heartfelt message from all the students of your batch. Tag this photo on facebook or send it across as a poster to your teacher!
• Show your creativity and do some craft work for her. Make a hand-made card or a photo frame. You can also buy those DIY photoframes and make one easily!
• If you do not have time but want to appreciate your teacher, post a picture with a thoughtful message on your facebook page. Also tag your batch-mates and teacher.
