The trailer is out with a bang!
The trailer of Meghna Gulzar’s spy thriller Raazi, featuring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal is out. The trailer of the film introduces us to the three key elements of the film: love, infidelity and nationalism. The movie is about an innocent woman Alia aka Sehmat who converts into an Indian spy on the order of her father played by actor Rajit Kapur and gets married to a Pakistani officer (Vicky Kaushal) with a mission. In the trailer, you can get an idea about how wonderfully Alia has played her role as a wife of a Pakistani Officer. Her chemistry with Kaushal is impressive but, as a Kashmiri spy she is strong, well trained and knows her job well as she collects information in adverse situations. In this more than two minutes long trailer, Alia forms herself as one of a kind actor whose graceful acting adds to this spying thriller.
The movie is set during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971 and is based on Harinder Sikka’s novel ‘Calling Sehmat’. Raazi is shot in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and Mumbai. With an interesting plot full of turns and twists and inspiring acting from the entire cast, Raazi seems to be a hit already. Sharing the trailer, Alia wrote, “Watan ke aage kuch nahi!!!! (Nothing comes before the nation)”. Karan Johar described it as, “And here it is!! #RaaziTrailer – The story of an ordinary girl in extraordinary circumstances!!”
