‘I’m sick and tired’ Malaika Arora’s Step-Father’s Final Call Before Death

65 years old stepfather to Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora exchanges heartbreaking final words “I’m sick and tired” with them before jumping off the railing

On Wednesday morning, the 65-year-old reportedly ended his life by jumping from the sixth-floor balcony of his family home at Ayesha Manor in Bandra.

Mehta made a final call to his daughters, Malaika and Amrita Arora, just moments before the tragedy. “I’m sick and tired,” he told them, expressing his deep distress, according to sources. His emotional state in that last conversation has left the family devastated.

Mehta’s wife, Joyce Polycarp, was in the apartment at the time, unaware of the gravity of the situation until she noticed his slippers in the living room. Concerned, she searched for him and, upon leaning over the balcony, witnessed the security guard call for help. “That was when I realized something was terribly wrong,” she told police. Joyce also informed the police that Anil Mehta was not dealing with any serious health issues aside from some knee pain. He had opted for voluntary retirement from the Merchant Navy.

Following the incident, Malaika shared a heartfelt statement on Instagram on behalf of the family. “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock over this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time,” the post read.
